No measurements in science are perfect or 100% certain.  Subsequently, statistical fingerprint match probability calculations are relative and expressed only in terms of “a reasonable degree of scientific certainty”. 

Fingerprint conclusions are subject to error, and like all scientific theories, the T-Model is subject to falsification testing and/or refinement by extended validation study, new technology or broader experimentation.
